General practitioners save hours of typing thanks to smart AI assistant

Corilus introduces the CareConnect AI Assistant. This is an innovative digital assistant for doctors to convert consultations into structured reports. The assistant was developed with AI expert Cavell. The aim is to support doctors by monitoring conversations during consultations and taking notes in real time. The SOEP model is used for this purpose. Thanks to this method, more than 70,000 reports have already been generated automatically, significantly reducing the administrative workload for Belgian general practitioners.

From listening to structured reporting

CareConnect AI Assistant is seamlessly integrated into CareConnect General Practitioner, the most widely used practice software in Belgium. During the consultation, the AI Assistant listens in via an external microphone, displays the conversation in real time, and structures the text according to the SOEP model (Subjective, Objective, Evaluation, Plan). After the consultation, the doctor can review the report, add to it where necessary, and immediately save it in the electronic patient file.

The technology has been developed with strict compliance with privacy protection and GDPR regulations. Doctors retain full control over the content of the file.

Collaboration between practical experience and AI knowledge

The underlying technology of CareConnect AI Assistant was developed in close collaboration with Cavell, a Belgian pioneer in applied artificial intelligence for healthcare. Cavell specializes in speech-to-text models and medical NLP (Natural Language Processing) specifically tailored to the nuances of medical communication.

More than 70,000 automatic reports have already been generated. This indicates that the AI Assistant is quickly becoming a reliable support tool in the consultation room.
